The following is a thank you letter written from the director of the Aruna Project, Sachin Kamble:

Greetings!

The Aruna team is very much grateful to you, and to all those who
participated in the Aruna 5k run, sponsors and volunteers.

We are very much thankful to you for your generous support to the Aruna
project of Oasis India. We appreciate your support and look forward to a mutually
rewarding partnership in the time to come.

As your support has been a significant part of the work that we do in Aruna, we
would like to share with you some of the impacts that this project has had on the
women, men, and children from this area in the past year.

With the children, there is growing relationship and involvement, 30 children are
now staying at the Aruna Shelter home and they are blessed with 16 effective Friday
activities. We also have 3 children who have received educational sponsorship.

Through the outreach work with the women, we have been able to build strong
mutual relationships, of those 18 have made significant changes in their lives.
Through the 19 organized events with 125 women attending, one completed her
4 month health worker training from Sophia College. From our most recent outing,
attended by 12 women, 2 made the decision to leave the red light area. We also had
a Christmas celebration where 60 women came, 35 of whom came for the first time.

We have also been able to organize events for the men. We had 2 in the Aruna
Drop in center where 13 attended and 2 in the red light area near the simplex
building where 40 men took part.

We have also been able to meet some of the health care needs of the women
and men through our clinics and outreach. A total of 75 women and 8 men received
HIV testing, 3 women received Anti Natal Care and 108 women have improved their
health through regular medical checkups.

It is through these established relationships that we see the most effective work
of getting women out of the trade.

We are truly thankful for what God has been doing over this past year in the red
light area and in the lives of women, men and children. We are also thankful for your
financial support, which He has used to help us bring women from brokenness to
wholeness. We value your continued prayers for us and this project and all those to
whom we minister.

The Aruna 5k is a blessing to Aruna work and it an inspiration for the visitors and
guest who visits Aruna Drop In Center when they see the Picture of Aruna 5k.
